Garmin has changed the registry organization for MapSource in their version 6.14.1 as of July 18, 2008. Some older versions of the Discontinued Expeditioner install with a Product ID of 780 but the Product ID in the tdb file indicates 546. We need to change the folder name from 780 to 546
The Windows registry editor regedit.exe can be used as follows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Garmin>MapSource>Products
Change name of folder 780 to 546
A new version of MapSetToolKit ( http://cypherman1.googlepages.com/ ) can also be used to fix the problem after MapSource 6.14 is installed.
